London Hotels – Marylebone

Some cheap London hotels in and around Marylebone include the Marylebone Hotel, with rooms from £ 99 per night. The Marylebone Hotel prides itself on impeccable service and understated luxury. The Wigmore Court Hotel is a modern bed & breakfast where guests will enjoy their own ensuites, wireless internet and procurement to London's public transport and tourist attractions.

However, with the 92-acre Marylebone village containing so many designer furniture stores, clothes boutiques and organic cafés, it's not exactly what you call "cheap London". Hotels in the area that offer affordable luxury include The Cumberland, where you'll sleep on Egyptian cotton sheets in a bedroom that's individually styled with its own works of art. The Cumberland also boasts six restaurants and bars, including the Michelin-starred Rhodes W1 Restaurant, and the funky Carbon bar, with its industrial chic fittings and live DJs. There's also the Park Plaza Sherlock Holmes, which combines old fashioned charm with contemporary style to provide a tasteful holiday experience.

Shopping is a real joy in Marylebone, thanks to its independent boutiques and specialty shops, such as Button Queen and VV Rouleaux. When you need a rest, the food here is top-notch – the area is bursting at the seams with patisseries, cheese shops, butchers, chocolatiers, cafés and restaurants.

Famous attractions in the area include Madame Tussauds and Wigmore Hall, which hosts classical music performances on a regular basis. Or you can wander through Regent's Park for a wonderful experience that's also very cheap! London hotels' reception areas are a good place to look for maps, guides and tourist brochures.

London's buzzing West End, with its theaters, shops, restaurants and night spots is an easy walk or quick bus trip from Marylebone. And once you're in Soho, you'd be crazy not to check out the shops along Oxford Street and Regent Street too. Cheap London Hotels that will give you good access to both areas include the Marble Arch Inn, which has rooms from just £ 35 per night.
